Preached Retreat at St. Louise Convent, Pittsburgh
June 23–29

This is a retreat designed for religious, permanent deacons and others involved in ministry or for those who simply want to pause to reflect on their spiritual journey.
Spirituality has been defined by the spiritual masters as “the growing in awareness that we are more than what we think we are…that deep within us is our spiritual center, God’s presence, the source of our blessedness.” In order to truly live, they say, means to be aware of this blessedness and to act out of it. This retreat seeks to search out ways in which to become aware of what is indeed deep within us, namely, the very presence of God. The process is a down-to-earth approach to spirituality and is conducted in a narrative, storytelling style.
Fee: $480 ($430 commuters, $400 Convent residents)
Time: Begins with Mass on the 23rd at 9:00 a.m. and ends with a noon meal on the 29th.
Directed Retreat “Our Hearts are Restless”
July 7–12

St. Augustine tells us “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You God.” Often one’s deepest desires are unclear, an ever more intense longing, but for what? What is this wrestling pull of the Divine?
A contemplative time apart from the demands of the day may lead you to a space in which you can invite in and embrace this longing…”for I know not what.” And then with Julian of Norwich you can pray, “All shall be well and all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well.”
This directed retreat retreats consists of optional communal morning prayer and daily liturgy. A daily session with one of the directors will also be made available for each retreatant.
Time : Retreat begins at 4 pm on Sunday July 7 and ends with the noon meal on Friday July 12.
Fee: $480.00
